Book Goods In

Book Goods is where you go to book in your purchase orders once they have been delivered.

Home Screen

The home screen has different search options to load purchase orders so you can book them in.

  • Supplier
  • Reference
  • Delivery Date
  • Other

Searching a purchase order

For this example, we will use the search option by supplier

  • Select the supplier and period of the purchase order and press search.
  • The search results will appear
  • Select the order you wish to book in and press Book Goods In. Alternately you can double click the order.

Booking In

Orders can be delivered all in one go and other times be on multiple delivery drops by the supplier.

You can book orders in fully and partially.

Delivery Note This is where the delivery note number is entered.
Book Into Branch To select which branch the stock is being booked in to.
Create Barcodes If ticked this will create the barcode labels for what you book in.
View All Items Only available on a partially booked in order. To view the booked in items.
Set SKU/External If ticked after you have book the order in the set SKU/External will load.
Book By Style To book in by style.
Book As Out Standing Will fill the book in column to what is ordered.

Example of Basic Booking In

  • Search For Order
  • Either Double click the order or highlight it and press book goods in.
  • Enter Delivery Note, Book Into Branch.
  • Check tick box options.
  • On the book In column this is where you enter what quantity you have had delivered.
  • Once finished, press Book Goods In.
  • Your labels will now be waiting for you in the Label Printer.

Please Note: Labels do not print immediately, after booking in. They go in to label printer. This is like a holding area for barcodes. so you can book in multiple orders and then go to label printer to print them off.

Example of Booking and Setting External Barcodes

Some customers choose not to print barcodes and use the barcodes that come on the products.

  • Search For Order
  • Either Double click the order or highlight it and press book goods in.
  • Enter Delivery Note, Book Into Branch.
  • Untick Create Barcodes and Tick Set SKU/External
  • On the book In column this is where you enter what quantity you have had delivered.
  • Once finished, press Book Goods In.
  • The supplier barcode screen will now open. Using a barcode scanner you can scan the supplier barcodes in. Alternately you can type or copy and paste.
  • Press Save.

Whats an External barcode? An External barcode would usually be a supplier barcode that usually comes on the products. This is also known as an EAN number/barcode. EAN number/barcode are unique to that product by size.
