POS Customer Loyalty

This is a detailed guide on how customer loyalty works in Fashione.

Standard Loyalty

Standard loyalty comes with settings that can be personalised, depending on how you want the system to give points.

Basic loyalty is enabled as default, meaning points are collected on every transaction including discounted items, promotional items, paper money and other tenders.

You can set up a default global scheme, or reward customer loyalty points on a individual basis. Points can also be different rates per customer.

Loyalty Example

Amount spent to earn one point £10.00
Point monetary value £1.00
Top Tip: Make sure your scheme is worth wile for customers. Low rates like supermarket offers, do not work for fashion stores.

Loyalty Settings

Loyalty settings can be customised to do the following:

  • Points to be given or not on discounted items (Price/Overall Discount) or Promotions (Promotions Module)
    • Example: If this is set to not give points on discount. When a customer buys an item on promotion or Price/Overall Discount they will not receive points. When they also redeem there loyalty points they will not gain points as this is seen is a discount.
  • Points can be removed when items are returned to store
    • Example: If this option is off, points will not be reduced, when items are returned.
  • Points to be given or not, when paper money are used as a payment (Gift Vouchers /Credit Notes)
    • Example: Sale value £40. Paid with £20 Credit Note and £ cash. The customer will only receive points on £20 cash payment.
  • Points to be gained or not, when other tenders are used as a payment (Cheque / High Street Vouchers/ PayPal)
    • Example: Sale value £40. Paid with a £20 High Street Voucher and £20 cash. The customer will only receive points on £20 cash payment.
  • How much a customer must earn before spending any points
    • Example: If this is set to £25, the customer has to gain £25 in loyalty before they can spend it.|

How loyalty shows on receipts

Loyalty details are printed on the customers transaction receipt. Here is an example.

Name Melissa Marsh
No 000000001
Loyalty Previously 0.00
Loyalty Earned 5.00
Loyalty Spent 0.00
Loyalty Total 5.00
The customer information can be switched if you prefer.

How loyalty works with other customer modules

  • Accounts
    • Points are given when the item is placed on account.
  • Customer Orders
    • Points are given when the item is taken.
  • Layovers
    • Points are given when the item is taken.

Advanced Loyalty Promotions

Advanced loyalty promotions allow you to offer loyalty promotion such as double points.

You can select what items you wish to put on promotions ,by using multiple filters including Brand, Colour, Department and Season.

For Example Example: You can put Brand Fashione in Season SS16 to sell on double points for 1 week.

Advance promotions is a great module to utilise on special events or even to drive more sales in the quieter periods.
